The Lake

The lake is fairly shallow (4ft plus trenches) and is oval in shape with an island situated at one end and is stocked with a good variety of coarse fish including specimen carp (mirror, ghost and common), also bream, roach, tench and perch and even a large fan-tailed goldfish together with some ornamental carp. Whether you use a rod or pole, are experienced or novice our lake suits most anglers. The best fishing is achieved is with baits such as sweetcorn, luncheon meat and maggot.

The Pegs

There are 20 pegs and all have wooden platforms, some have level access and others are accessed by steps.

If you have a mobility restriction or disability please contact us to make sure we can meet your needs. There is a unisex toilet adjacent to the lake.

The caravan paddock adjacent to the lake is a private area for caravan occupants only.

There are tackle shops in nearby Horncastle or further afield in Lincoln and Sleaford. There are two supermarkets open 7 days a week in Woodhall Spa for sweetcorn and meat.
